As more than 20 fires continue to burn across 2.4 million acres in Oregon, wildfire officials are once again reminding people not to fly drones near wildfires. Drones pose a significant risk to firefighting aircraft, meaning that when one is spotted, planes and helicopters may be grounded for hours until the threat is cleared. Those delays can allow wildfires to grow rapidly, the Oregon Department of Emergency Management said.
