We are delighted to announce that England international Ezri Konsa has joined us from Aston Villa on a long-term contract. The 28-year-old began his professional career with Charlton Athletic, making his senior debut in 2016 and quickly establishing himself as one of the club’s most promising young defenders. After two seasons in the first team at The Valley, Ezri joined Brentford in 2018, where his performances during the 2018/19 season further enhanced his reputation and earned him a move to the Premier League with Aston Villa in 2019. Ezri has spent the past seven seasons at Aston Villa, making over 200 Premier League appearances for the club across all competitions. During his time at Villa Park, his consistent performances have established him as one of the Premier League’s leading defenders, capable of operating both centrally and at right-back.
