Nobody ever got benched for a great pass.
Think about that. Players spend hours on their shot — hours on their handle — and never once train their passing. As if passes just happen. As if the ball finds shooters by accident.
It doesn't.
A great pass is on time and on target. Not "around then." Not "near him." On time. On target. In the shooting pocket, the moment your teammate's feet are ready — so the ball arrives before the defense does.
And here's what most players never figure out: the more angles you can deliver that pass from — off the dribble, off the pivot, over the top, under pressure — the more your coach trusts you with the ball. And trust is playing time. Trust is the ball in your hands late in games.
Shooters get streaky. Passers get minutes.
