DARK ANGEL
I bear the wings of fallen night,
Yet i keep a spark of light.
I look above and crave the sun,
Where the golden heavens hide.
The up has turned its back on me,
The down has closed its burning gates,
Trapped between what I’ll never see,
Forsaken by both grace and fate.
Not a holy saint, Not a monster,
Not a simple label with ever fit my art.
I am neither good, neither bad,
Just a quiet pulse and a shadows heart.
I reach up high, i want the sun,
Yet i know where my true power lies.
My strength was born where dark threads run,
Beneath the cold and silent skies.
So here i stay within the shade,
Where the dark settles in my bones.
A lonely realm that i have created,
Where i can stand, unseen, alone.
It’s black, dark, empty,
Still as stone.
But, in the quiet…
It’s my home.
