Boston, look up next Thursday night. 🌕
A major lunar eclipse is set to be visible from Boston overnight on August 27 into August 28, with the Moon expected to take on a dramatic reddish-copper appearance as it moves through Earth’s shadow.
The partial eclipse is expected to begin around 10:33 PM, with the eclipse reaching its peak at approximately 12:12 AM on Friday, August 28.
And unlike a solar eclipse, you don’t need special glasses to watch it. Just hope for clear skies.
By the way, we have a weekly newsletter rounding up what’s worth doing and knowing about in Boston. One newsletter. Once a week. Link in bio.
