One of Boston’s biggest transformations just cleared a major legal hurdle. Massachusetts’ highest court has ruled that the $325 million redevelopment of White Stadium can continue after years of legal challenges. Construction is already underway in Franklin Park, with the ruling allowing work to continue toward a planned summer 2027 opening. Once complete, the 10,000-seat stadium will become the home of Boston Legacy FC while also serving Boston Public Schools athletics and community events. The project remains controversial, with opponents raising concerns over its cost and the use of public parkland. The city and Boston Public Schools will retain ownership, while Boston Legacy FC is contributing $190 million toward the redevelopment.
