Franklin Park Zoo is glowing after dark again.
Boston Lights officially returned for the season last week, transforming the zoo with massive illuminated lanterns, interactive installations and displays inspired by wildlife and landscapes around the world.
This year’s experience includes scenes inspired by coastal South Africa and the Grand Canyon, glowing big cats, an underwater world filled with tropical fish and sea horses, and nearly 100-foot-long lantern tunnels inspired by bamboo and peacock feathers.
Boston Lights runs through November 8. It’s open Thursday through Monday from 6 to 10:30 PM through September, before switching to nightly hours in October and November.
Tickets are available through Franklin Park Zoo.
By the way, we have a weekly newsletter rounding up what’s worth doing and knowing about in Boston. One newsletter. Once a week. Link in bio.
