One of the Boston area’s most unique outdoor movie nights is returning this fall.
The Coolidge Corner Theatre is heading back to historic Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge for Cemetery Cinema on Tuesday, September 22.
The evening begins at sunset with David Lynch’s “The Straight Story,” followed by Wim Wenders’ “Wings of Desire,” with both films screened outdoors among the grounds of America’s first landscaped cemetery.
Guests are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets and snacks, with light concessions also available. Alcohol is not permitted, and visitors are asked to be respectful of the cemetery as an active burial place.
The screening begins at 7 PM, with a rain date scheduled for September 23.
By the way, we have a weekly newsletter rounding up what’s worth doing and knowing about in Boston. One newsletter. Once a week. Link in bio.
