Coming back from a secluded retreat in the forests of the Pontiac region, Quebec, 90 to 120 minutes drive from Ottawa. 😍 My family and I spent two nights in a cozy dome tucked away in the middle of the forest, overlooking the Coulonge River. It was peaceful, beautiful, and honestly felt like stepping away from everything for a little while. The domes come furnished with a comfortable bed, night tables, a fireplace, chairs, and a coffee table. Outside, there’s also a BBQ and a fire pit. There’s no electricity inside, which makes the experience feel even more like a true escape into nature, but there are battery-powered lamps, so you’re not completely off the grid. The site also has modern shared washrooms with showers and even a sauna. 🔥 But my favourite part? The stairs leading all the way down to the river. The views are absolutely stunning. There’s comfortable patio furniture where you can sit back, read a book, sunbathe, or simply enjoy the scenery. And then there’s the river...
