For years, Ottawa has been missing a mid-sized entertainment venue. That’s about to change. HISTORY Ottawa is now officially open in the heart of the ByWard Market, with capacity for up to 2,000 people. The venue is spacious, with boxes on a mezzanine level, bars serving drinks and food, and a sitting area with tables where you can hang out before or during the show. HISTORY Ottawa is part of the same venue brand as HISTORY Toronto, which launched in 2021 in collaboration with Drake and Live Nation. The new venue is expected to attract both world-class and local artists, filling a gap in Ottawa’s live entertainment scene and giving artists another place to perform in the city.
