Important To Dos For New Students 8: Arrival at Amherst and Orientation New students must arrive and move into their residence hall at the College on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. (ET) for Orientation. Generally, Orientation activities are for students only, but families of new students may participate in special Orientation events on arrival day. Pre-Orientation students (international, transfer, veteran, exchange students and language assistants) will arrive and move into their residence hall on Thursday, August 20, 2026.
