#KeriRussell and
#MatthewRhys are heading to the Emmys together again, but this time as nominees for different projects: “The Diplomat” and
#WidowsBay. The last time they attended as nominees was for “The Americans,” when Rhys joked in his acceptance speech that Russell had threatened to punch him “clean in the mouth” if he proposed onstage.
For Variety’s cover story, the couple opens up about potentially working together again. Russell says it “would have to be the right thing,” but adds, “There’s a real electricity that happens between people when it goes well.”
Russell also reveals what she won’t tolerate on set anymore: “I just don’t want to put up with people’s bullshit anymore. I just want to work with professionals.” She adds, “I don’t need any new best friends. I have great friends. I have a partner. But I just don’t want to put up with people’s bullshit anymore. Figure that shit out. Go do that on your own time. Don’t bring it to work. I just want to work with professionals....
