🚨 FIRST-TIME D1 HEAD COACHES 🚨 Next up in our series: Matt Watts — George Washington University ⚽️🇺🇸 Watts takes over GW Men’s Soccer bringing 14 years of collegiate head coaching experience and a track record of building successful programs. Most recently, Watts served as Associate Head Coach at Virginia Tech, helping the Hokies compete in one of the toughest environments in college soccer and climb as high as No. 13 nationally. His head coaching résumé includes an outstanding eight-year run at Nova Southeastern, highlighted by a trip to the 2021 NCAA Final Four and the program’s first-ever NCAA Tournament victories. Watts also produced successful turnarounds at Alabama Huntsville and Delta State, earning Gulf South Conference Coach of the Year honors at both programs.
