Theater students hosted their annual car wash fundraiser on Friday, Aug. 14 after school until 5 p.m. in the SM East front parking lot. Theater students advertised the event by waving signs on the corner of 75th Street and Mission Rd, then washed and rinsed cars for free, with a suggested donation to the SM East Theatre department. Students played music while washing cars, and theater boosters provided ice cream and popsicles for students attending the event. The car wash is the theater department’s first event, with monthly events announced at the all theater meetings on the first Wednesday of each month in the auditorium.  The next theater event will be announced at the all theater meeting on Sep. 2 after school in the auditorium. #socialmediabyfrancescalorusso #photobysaragarry #photobyfrancescalorusso
