One year ago, Sombr drops ‘I Barely Know Her.’ Sombr marked a major milestone with ‘I Barely Know Her,’ his debut studio album, released through Warner Records and his own SMB imprint. Written entirely by Sombr and co-produced with Tony Berg, the 10-track project blends indie rock, pop, and hazy bedroom-pop textures while exploring heartbreak, longing, and the complicated aftermath of a relationship. Its title captures the album’s central idea: becoming so distant from someone once deeply known that they begin to feel like a stranger. By the time the album arrived, Sombr had already built considerable momentum through ‘Back to Friends’ and ‘Undressed,’ both of which became major streaming hits and helped push him from internet discovery into the mainstream.
