Slough, England, is home to Europe’s biggest data center hub – which means the town could be a so-called “heat island.” The heat generated by massive data centers could increase temperatures for towns like Slough by 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit. Pair that with the heat waves the U.K. has been experiencing this summer, and it could feel extra hot for residents living near the data center. CBS News’ Emmet Lyons went to Slough to see for himself. #datacenter #london #heatwave
