Most photographers think CCT mode is simply there to match the colour of different light sources. And yes, that's true but it's only the beginning. In this video, photographer Gavin Hoey explores how colour temperature works on a bi-colour LED light and shows how understanding CCT can help you take control of color in a room with different light types. Starting with the basics Gavin shows you how to balance an LED with room light. He then moves on to explain that 150w LED can remove the room light and shows how setting the correct camera white balance is then as easy as copying the CCT temperature on the light. Then things get creative!
