You’re ruining your Hyrox workouts because you’re not fueling them. You planned a hard session. You want to hit specific paces. You want to progressively overload your training. Then you show up with barely any fuel in your body and wonder why everything feels harder than it should. You might not need more fitness. You might need more carbs. Carbohydrates are incredibly important when you’re asking your body to produce the higher intensity efforts we see in Hyrox training. So if you have a hard workout coming up, fuel for it. That might be a bagel. Oatmeal. Banana and honey. Rice. Sports drink. Whatever works well for your stomach and your training schedule. And practice it. Don’t wait until race day to suddenly decide you’re going to start fueling properly. Your workouts aren’t just about surviving them.
