"Doctors said I was too young to have endometriosis - I had to take morphine to cope." Grace says she felt doctors were dismissive of her pain and some told her she "was being dramatic" . She was given multiple possible reasons for her symptoms: irritable bowel syndrome, a cyst, anxiety and "just a bad period". Endometriosis is an incurable condition causing lesions and scarring on internal organs and around the body. Grace says her requests for further investigation were ignored.
