It was a family darshanam at one of Andhra Pradesh’s five sacred Pancharama Kshetras — Sri Chalukya Kumararama Sri Bhimeswaraswamy Temple. 🙏 🛕 A little history for those who may not know this beautiful kshetram: Kumararama traces its monumental history to the Eastern Chalukya period. The temple is recorded as having been constructed by King Chalukya Bhima I toward the end of the 9th century CE, and inscriptions indicate that this area was historically known as Chalukya Bhimavaram. 🔱 One of its most fascinating architectural features is the towering limestone Shiva Linga, which rises from the ground floor into the upper level of the shrine.
