Come behind the scenes with me, Big Rig, and The Texas Tailgaters for one of the most personal weekends of my season: a three-game set against my former team, the Firefighters, in my hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina.
This one meant everything. We played at Truist Field, the ballpark I grew up coming to for Knights games — I've probably been there 10+ times as a fan, and now I'm on that field in a Tailgaters jersey. Coming back to the 704 to face the team I used to play for, in front of a sold-out hometown crowd, was a full-circle moment I'll never forget. And we made it count: three games, three wins, a clean sweep at home. Kmart even tied the single-season Banana Ball home run record on the way.
