ECU Health, in partnership with Food Lion Feeds, Sodexo and ECU Health Foundation, distributed more than 5,700 meals to families in eastern North Carolina over the course of the 2026 Summer Meal Program! Team members at six sites in Greenville, Tarboro, Ahoskie, Halifax, Bertie and Chowan helped strengthen food access for families and support the health and well-being of eastern North Carolina. The program expanded from four sites to six this year to better serve communities across a larger geographic area. We are #ECUHealthProud of team members who filled 367 volunteer shifts over the past 10 weeks to give families a friendly face and ensure the communities we serve have nutritious meals outside of schools. They serve as a great example of what can happen when people unite in a common goal to serve the greater needs of community health!
