Moderna had its best day ever after it and Merck reported positive topline Phase 3 results, where a personalized mRNA therapy added to Keytruda improved recurrence free survival in patients whose melanoma had already been surgically removed. It is the first positive Phase 3 readout for an mRNA cancer therapy. Detailed efficacy figures have not been released.
About $1.9 million in call premium hit the tape behind it, split between one contract with a month of runway and one expiring in two days. With roughly 13 percent of the float short going in, much of the move was forced buying.
