Ottawa police are warning the public about a high-risk offender now living in downtown Ottawa ‼️🚨😳 Police say 35-year-old Aaron Gilpin recently relocated to Ottawa from Smiths Falls and is considered a “significant risk to public safety” based on his history of violent and sexual offending. According to police, Gilpin’s criminal history includes a sexual offence involving a child, assaults, weapons offences, disarming a police officer, break and enters and thefts. Smiths Falls police had also issued a public notice about Gilpin in July, saying his criminal history dates back to the 2000s and includes a child-related sexual assault conviction.
