I’ve adopted… a new way of acquiring. First- studio visits ONLY if you are in the market( ok if you’re my fam or friends. Come anytime..🤗). My time is valuable too. So if you don’t have the house, the piano or the wall… wait until you do, to book a visit. It’s a matter of respecting an artist’s time too. Think of it this way: You don’t go to your lawyers office and look through his files in the case you need a defense lawyer one day. You don’t book a dentist appt to browse her latest tech equipment when you don’t even need a cleaning, or have a cavity.. So why the f book a studio visit with an artist saying you’re looking for this piece, this size and for this wall, behind the piano you don’t yet have, in the room of the house that isn’t yours either. Not that it won’t be one day. So when that one day comes- respectfully, book your studio visit then.. and be on time. #justsaying # respect #boundaries #womeninbiz #artistlife
