Arm care shouldn’t just be something you do. It should create an adaptation. Bands, light cuff work, and activation all have a place. But if we want stronger shoulders, we have to give the tissue a reason to get stronger. That means treating arm care more like training: • Isometrics to build force in specific positions • Eccentrics to challenge the cuff under higher loads and control deceleration • Progressive resistance instead of using the same band forever • Multiple joint positions and movement patterns that reflect the demands of throwing • Measure strength so we know whether the athlete is actually improving The goal isn’t to make arm care harder just for the sake of making it harder. It’s to apply the right stimulus, recover from it, and progressively build capacity. Don’t just check the arm-care box.
