Mr. Sheffield is a great character. He manages to fill the role of Fran's fantasy while remaining flawed and free from genericization; Fran, herself, manages the same. Both, distinct from rom-com cliches and much more three dimensional, are rounded out, in part, by their contrasting wardrobes. While Fran's wardrobe stood out, bold and intense, tagzrags ensured that Maxwell offered a counterpoint. A bedrock of classic tailoring to show how different the characters were, and to ground everything just a little bit. Every other scene had an immediate physical gag, just showing these two next to each other, backed up by good comedy writing. Heavy cloth and a full cut suit in motion... Gotta love it. Would love it more with a real dimple, though. #fittheyorfontthey
