They made the Finals at just 23 years old in 2012 and it genuinely felt like a championship was inevitable at some point. That’s what makes their story hurt even more. Injuries, brutal playoff losses, blowing a 3-1 lead to Golden State in 2016, and then KD leaving that summer ended everything before they could finish what they started. They accomplished so much together, but that one ring would’ve completely changed how people remember those Thunder teams.
