Elbow Circle Drill This drill was developed to promote a simplified, proximal armpath pattern in some of my QBs who were excessively distal, meaning they had way too much action, movement and tension in their wrists and hands. Proper execution involves using the shoulder girdle musculature to move the elbow in small, forward circles, allowing the hand and ball to just ‘ride’ the elbow, then expanding one of those circles into a full, elliptical arm load, release and follow through. If you find yourself driving the ball around in big circles you’re probably missing the proximal concept. When you decide to throw, make sure your hips, legs and core generate the power and let them whip the arm through its path. beaujohnston_ to takumicharron #rotaryQB #quarterback #kinesiology #modernQBmechanics #QBsmpl
