China’s AI robot just hit 14.5 m/s. Honor’s humanoid robot, called Lightning, reportedly ran 100 meters in 9.32 seconds during a trial event in Beijing, faster than Usain Bolt’s world record. Yes, it was a robot trial, not a human race, but the speed is still insane. Humanoid robots are starting to move less like clunky demos and more like actual athletes.
