How To Do Assisted Push-Ups | Correct Technique
Key technique points:
• Place the band right under your chest (for women, think of the edge of your sports bra) and come down into the push-up position
• Let the band sit at a small angle to the front, so you are not straight under the anchor point
• Place the hands a little wider than shoulder width and hold full body tension, squeezing the glutes with an active core
• Lower the chest to at least 90 degrees in the elbows, keeping the elbows around 45 degrees from the body instead of flaring out, with a neutral head and neck, then push back up
Assisted Push-Ups train the chest, triceps and front deltoids through a full pressing range, while the band takes weight off you at the bottom.
