How To Do Assisted Pull-Ups | Correct Technique
Key technique points:
• Step into the band with both feet to keep the legs together and get better full body tension, squeezing the legs together with the core tight
• Grab the bar roughly shoulder width apart or a little wider, thumbs around, knuckles above the bar
• Initiate the movement with a scapula pull up, pulling the shoulder blades down first
• Pull all the way until the chin is above the bar, then squeeze the shoulder blades together and aim to point the elbows out and backwards
Assisted Pull-Ups train the lats, biceps, rear deltoids and traps through the same full range as a standard pull-up, while the band takes some of your bodyweight.
