At four years old, Natalia pointed at a statue of a climber and said,
“I want to do that.” The climbing gym wouldn’t accept children her age.
Her parents made a deal: “If you still remember this place in two years, we’ll come back.” She did.
The nearest team was almost two hours away. So every week, her parents, Joe and Norma Grossman got in the car and drove.
Years later, when that path no longer challenged her, they moved their family to Boulder, Colorado, so Natalia could keep growing.
They never chased medals. They only followed their daughter’s curiosity.
