A humanoid robot developed by China’s Beijing Innovation Centre of Humanoid Robotics has reportedly run 100 metres in 9.39 seconds, beating Usain Bolt’s 9.58-second human world record. Named Tianzhuo, the robot achieved the time on Saturday, August 22, in a race against two other humanoid robots from Chinese companies Unitree and Honor. However, an Honor-developed humanoid reportedly clocked an even faster 9.32 seconds in a separate test run, according to China’s state broadcaster. #news #robot #tech #sport
