Kinley Rasmus became just the 25th girl to play in the Little League Baseball World Series in its 79-year history.
Rasmus threw for six scoreless innings, only giving up one hit. Her eight strikeouts tied Mo’ne Davis’ record for most by a girl pitcher at LLWS (2014).
Baseball definitely runs in the family. Kinley’s dad and uncle are former MLB players, who also played in LLWS in 1999, and her mom was a softball player at Southern Miss.
