Designing a wedding at a private residence gives us the opportunity to create an entire experience around a setting that already exists. For Emily and Reid, we worked with the natural landscape of Emily’s family property along the Weber River and layered in a bright, colorful summer palette that carried throughout the celebration. Cocktail hour included smaller gathering spaces tucked throughout the property, comfortable seating, shade and multiple bars where guests could enjoy cocktails and appetizers before dinner. From there, guests transitioned into the sailcloth tent where the color, tabletop details and custom dance floor created a more elevated reception experience. I loved the balance of this design. It felt colorful and polished, but still completely at home within the relaxed, natural setting of the property.
