mustafa_ali vs thejasonhotch was my favourite match of #TNALockDown last night. As you all know I’m a big storyline/character guy. I genuinely think a good story and character work can get you more invested in a match than just two really great wrestlers wrestling. It moves me more and keeps me paying attention. Especially in 2026 when we are spoiled by great wrestling. I have heard nothing but great things about Jason Hotch and watched some of his stuff in TNA recently. In many of my interviews with TNA wrestlers and personalities they brought up Jason Hotch as someone to keep an eye on. I am a Mustafa Ali fan and supporter, but man when I saw the video package where he was making a move on Hotch’s wife in front of their daughter, I was all in! They got me invested. Then they just told a great story that was more than “we used to be friends” who worked together, competitiveness or even we both want this title. Hotch was fighting for his family.
