Football is more than a game. For young people, it can create spaces for connection, belonging, confidence and well-being — turning challenges into hope and bringing people together across backgrounds.
That spirit came to life last month at
#UnitedNations Headquarters in
#NYC, where young people, athletes, mental health advocates and community organizations gathered to explore how sport can support youth mental health and well-being.
Among them were Sam and Angela, young leaders with UN Football for the Goals member streetchildutd. They shared their experiences of how football helped shape their lives and called for a world where every child is seen, heard and supported.
