College Sunday was one to remember! Not only did we celebrate our college students as they prepare for an exciting new school year, but we also received a word that came right on time from Bishop Simeon Moultrie titled “A Different World.” Through the story of Elijah and Elisha, we were reminded that God is always thinking about us, preparing us, and positioning us for the next season of our lives. What may seem like an ordinary season is often God’s way of developing us for an extraordinary purpose. The same God who called Elisha from plowing fields to leading a generation is still calling people today. We learned that there is more in us than we realize, that pressure is often part of God’s preparation, and that every experience has a purpose. God uses our current season to prepare us for the next one, teaching us how to handle responsibility, remain consistent, and trust Him through the process.
