Starting the day by checking social media I was giving my best creative energy to everyone except myself. 2. Waiting for inspiration The more I waited to "feel creative," the less music I actually finished. I would often not feel very creative that day, then as I worked on music the spark hit. 3. Jumping between five different projects Nothing kills momentum faster than never finishing anything. Focus on a maximum of two songs at a time. 4. Working with constant notifications Every interruption made it harder to get back into a creative flow. Turn off unneeded notifications. 5. Staying in the studio when my brain was exhausted Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is take a walk and come back with fresh ears.
