I started this journey at 50, and after playing EDC twice and Burning Man, these are a few opinions I'm willing to stand behind:
1: Finishing songs is more important than endlessly perfecting them (and I like perfecting them!)
Your fans don't care about the hi-hat you spent three hours EQ'ing
2: Relationships matter more than follower counts
Being a good human being opens more doors than being a genius nobody wants to work with.
3: Social media isn't ruining music
Ignoring it might ruin your career though. People need a way to discover and connect with you and your story. I'm here to connect with you.
4: Nobody cares when you start
People won't judge you for how long it took to become succesful or what age you started.
5: You don't need expensive gear to make great music
People think the most expensive hardware is, the better it will make them, this is not true.
