𝗜 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗲 These 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗜𝘁 👇 When I started producing music and DJing at 50, I paid attention to the people who were already doing it at the highest level. Not what they said or preached. But what they actually did. Here’s what I kept noticing: 1: They finished tracks consistently, even when they weren’t perfect. 2: They kept a schedule and treated it seriously. 3: Some of their biggest tracks were ones they almost didn’t release (like deadmau5 strobe) 4: They were part of a community of artists who grew together. 5: Their sound came from the artists they listened to the most. 6: They took opportunities before they felt ready. 7: They treated studio time like a real job, with structure and breaks. None of this is complicated. But actually doing it this way is what I saw over and over again.
