After a 90-minute weather delay, Austin FC kicked off about 9 p.m. against a New York City FC team making its first visit to Austin on Saturday, July 6. The visitors took an early lead with an Andres Perea goal in the 5th minute. With forward Diego Rubio serving a suspension on yellow card accumulation, Gyasi Zardes got the start and scored an equalizer in the 7th minute of first-half stoppage time.
