Had some fun photographing #JurassicQuest - a drive-thru dinosaur exhibit in town this month. I’ve seen photos from several of my friends who also took the tour, and it’s been interesting to see how each photographer approached the assignment. Some did amazing work in post-production, adding prehistoric backgrounds, and others focused on the families making the drive through the event. I made the drive during a preview, without any guests in the park, so I had to approach the assignment with a focus on the displays themselves while finding a way to represent the local setting. Since my images were for publication in hillcountrynews, I was limited in editing to journalistic standards - meaning I couldn’t add or remove objects in the scene or replace the background. I was fortunate to have a mix of cloud cover, sun and light rain, all with varying lighting conditions, which helped give the images a bit of variety. These are really neat exhibits.
