🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨 It’s been an incredible year for Montagu’s Harriers as six new chicks were raised at a secret location! As the UK’s rarest breeding bird and having had no chicks raised between 2020 and 2024, this year’s successful breeding season shines a glimmer of hope for the future of this incredible species. We’d like to say a huge thank you to the farmer who worked closely with the RSBP to allow monitoring of the nests and the installation of life-saving protective fencing. And now that two of the chicks have been fitted with satellite tags in a UK first, this allows the RSPB to go one step further in monitoring the survival and migration of Montagu’s Harriers. #montagusharrier #rspb #goodnewsfornature
