Oregon artist Liza Hamilton just turned one of Vincent van Gogh’s final masterpieces into a handmade rug, one strand of wool at a time. 🤯 Using traditional and modern rug-making techniques, wooliza reimagined “Green Wheat Fields, Auvers” in tufted wool, translating the vibrant energy of Van Gogh’s brushstrokes into fiber. There’s something especially fitting about Hamilton’s choice of material.
