Today, our community gathered at Zero Stone Park for a moving Memorial Day ceremony led by Michael Pules, our County Veteran Service Officer, to honor the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. It was a day of solemn remembrance, starting with a powerful prayer from Pastor Scott Owens reminding us that "no greater love is seen but this—that a man would lay down his life for his friends." As the proclamation reminded us today: "That nation which represents and honors its dead shall ever be respected and honored itself."
