As we close out our NYC Pre-Professional Contemporary Summer Intensive, we’re taking one final look inside the studio with faculty member Tsai Hsi Hung tsaihsihung. Throughout the intensive, our dancers have been encouraged to approach movement with curiosity, intention, and a willingness to explore new creative possibilities. Drawing from her experience as a choreographer, educator, and dance artist, Tsai Hsi brings a distinct perspective to the classroom—challenging dancers to look beyond movement itself, take creative risks, and deepen their individual expression. Tsai Hsi’s connection to Joffrey Ballet School also extends to the Joffrey Concert Group joffreyconcertgroup, where she was selected as a choreographer for the 2024/2025 season of the Creative Movers Choreographic Initiative (CMCI).
