So proud of my super ameliewingrove and her GCSE results today. She absolutely smashed it! ❤️ I’m dyslexic, and when I was at school I just accepted that I couldn’t learn like everyone else. Eventually, I gave up trying and left school without any GCSEs. Amelie is also dyslexic, but she took a completely different approach to me. She started off in the bottom sets at school, but worked hard day in, day out to learn and study. As each year went by, she kept moving up through the sets, and today she got her GCSE results — and they were absolutely amazing! TBH, the results themselves aren’t what make me most proud. They won’t define what Amelie achieves or who she becomes in the future. What matters to me is that she put her mind to something that was more difficult for her than it was for many of her peers, and she refused to give up. That level of commitment, effort and determination is what stands out to me. Those are the qualities that will help her become whatever she wants to be...
