Hospice is one of the hardest words for patients and families to hear. It doesn’t mean giving up. It means the goals of care have changed from treating the tumor at all costs to focusing on comfort, dignity, quality of life, and what matters most to you. In many ways, hospice can mean more support for both patients and their families.
